National Research Corporation Rated Largest Patient Satisfaction Measurement Firm in the Country

National Research Corporation (NRC Picker's parent company) has been listed number one among the nation’s largest patient satisfaction measurement firms in the U.S., according to Modern Healthcare. The company conducted over 30,000 healthcare engagements across all 50 states in 2011.

The 2011 ranking looks primarily at the total number of healthcare provider engagements, as defined by contracts, through a survey conducted by the publication. It also lists several other factors, including rank of participating patient satisfaction measurement firms, company names, headquarters, ownership type, total number of engagements, total number of consultants, and website. This is the first time National Research Corporation has participated in the survey.

“We have a unique position in the healthcare market because we offer products and services across the entire care continuum,” said Susan L. Henricks, president and chief operating officer of National Research Corporation.

National Research products and services include evaluating the patient experience, long-term care resident experience, family experience and consumer experience. These proven methodologies turn healthcare data into actionable business intelligence for quality improvement and to make the greatest impact on bottom-line resources for providers.

“We believe our commitment to patient-centered care across the continuum is both a strategic advantage and important added value for all clients as healthcare delivery systems become more coordinated and integrated,” Henricks said.

The company’s clientele include more than 2,000 acute-care facilities, 10,000 post-acute facilities, and 100 health plans in the U.S. and Canada. The firm’s Market Insights product is the nation’s largest online healthcare survey, polling 270,000 consumers annually in over 250 markets.
