NRC Picker hosts networking event in Maine

On May 9, NRC Picker held a networking event in Portland, Maine where participants gathered for an all-day opportunity to learn from peers and discuss best practices related to improving the patient experience in the hospital and clinic setting. Over 20 organizations came together at MaineHealth, who hosted the event.

Patients fear of being seen as 'difficult'

Patients are encouraged to take charge of their own health, ask their doctors questions and stay proactive in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. However, according to a recent study by the Palo Alto (Calif.) Medical Foundation Research Institute, patients are worried about being perceived as “difficult” to their doctors when it comes to making important healthcare decisions.
