Every Thursday night glamorous Palm Canyon Drive becomes an old-fashioned street fair. Each block offers great street entertainment in the heart of beautiful downtown Palm Springs.  Browse more than 200 booths offering beautiful art, handcrafted items, and unique food.  Great people watching at a sidewalk café is a favorite of locals.  Many shops, galleries, and restaurants will be open during Villagefest.

Dine Around

Friday, September 19

The Dine Around experience includes luxurious evening meals at tempting restaurants and World-class shopping at The Gardens on El Paseo.  This mile-long avenue in Palm Desert is often called "The Rodeo Drive of the Desert," comparing it to the renowned upscale shopping district of Beverly Hills.  Art galleries, fine furnishings, couture clothing, and restaurants make this tree-shaded avenue ideal for strolling and browsing.  There are some bargains to be found, especially in the upscale chain stores at The Gardens on El Paseo, but most of the clientele here do not need to check the price tags.  However, everyone can enjoy the free contemporary outdoor sculpture exhibits presented on the landscaped meridian.

Annual Fun Run/Walk

Benefiting Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association.  NISRA provides year round recreation activities for people with disabilities.

Saturday, September 20, starting at 6:00 am

The annual Fun Run/Walk is a casual, non-competitive way to get going in the morning and enjoy the resorts beautiful surroundings and warm desert air. 

Resort Recreation

Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa is surrounded by two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Celebrity Course and the Player’s Course.  Discounts are available to resort guests through the purchase of golf packages.  Tee times may be reserved through the resort’s Golf Coordinator.

Along with golf and tennis, the resort features the largest pool in the desert.  The resort also includes a sandy beach with volleyball.  Spa Esmeralda provides guests with limitless relaxation options and the Fitness Center features state-of-the art equipment for guests to use.
