Another Top 50 Award For National Research Corporation

National Research Corporation has again achieved the distinction of being listed as a top US research organization. The annual Honomichl 50 - an exclusive ranking of the top 50 US-based research organizations based on yearly revenues - has pegged NRC as #25 based on last years increased revenues.

The Honomichl 50 has been the definitive source for finding out whos who in the U.S.-based commercial research industry. Every summer Jack Honomichl, a leading research industry analyst, publishes his new top 50 in Marketing News, a journal of the American Marketing Association. Honomichl has been compiling the list since 1973 and its become the standard scoreboard for measuring each companys position and growth.

NRC has been a mainstay on the list for years. In 2005, thanks to a 5.2% jump in revenue, NRC was able to advance from #27 to #26. This year, NRC climbed another spot to enter the top half of the rankings, and according to Honomichls ranking system, a 21.7% jump in revenue in 2006 was key to advancing on the list.

To give some perspective on this successful climb, just 6 years ago NRC was #37 on the list. With steady growth and consistent values, NRC has continued to leapfrog other companies and improve its rank each and every year.

In order to qualify for the list each firm must submit to third-party verification of calendar year revenues for their market research operations. Also, new acquisitions do not count toward the rankings meaning National Research continued to improve revenues even without counting the addition of The Governance Institute.

Here is NRC's rank since 1987:

  • 1997 ranked at 41
  • 1998 ranked at 40
  • 1999 ranked at 38
